The extraordinary maintenance program of bridges, viaducts and tunnels of the road network, of national interest managed by Anas, saw Cipa participate in the rehabilitation interventions along the provincial roads in the territory of the province of Trapani in Sicily.

The intervention specifically concerned 5 box-shaped underpasses located along the highway 115 South Western Sicula that connects the cities of Trapani and Syracuse and a counter-bank wall; punctual restoration of the viaduct called Case Ditte of the state road 119 that connects Alcamo to Castelvetrano; full restoration of the pylons of the Acqualavite viaduct on the state road 187 that connects Trapani to Palermo.

This last intervention, given the considerable height of the pylons of over 30 meters, required the assembly of self-lifting mobile scaffolding that allowed the work to be carried out without occupation of the roads above with the restoration of over 100 cubic meters of diseased concrete.

Reinstatement works were carried out on the concrete cover by manually demolishing the deteriorated concrete, laying additional reinforcement where required and restoring the concrete cover with two-component, fiber-reinforced thixotropic cement mortar and additives with an organic-based corrosion inhibitor.
